These are some custom tap handles that I modeled for a design agency in North Carolina, Big Bridge Design.

I worked from a sketch from their creative director to create a 3D model used to create tooling for mass production.

For this Currahee Eagle, I also painted the model for a guide for the manufacturer.

This Woodcreek tap handle was modeled and also rendered in a number of ways, to arrive at the desired look.

There were a couple of earlier projects where Big Bridge had hired another designer, but hired me to come in and “fix” it. Not all designers understand the constraints of manufacturing…

I used a combination of Illustrator, Rhino and ZBrush for these tap handle models. It is nice to be able to mix the precision of CAD with the digital sculpting freedom of ZBrush.
